How to receive a recovery email for my Instagram account

To reset your Password on the browser, follow this link:

https://www.instagram.com/accounts/password/reset/

In a nutshell:

open the Instagram app -> tab on your username in the upper left corner -> Add account -> Log into existing account -> Switch accounts -> get help logging in -> enter username, then Next -> send an email

If you are already logged in your Instagram account, follow these steps to get to the login screen:
First, tab on your username in the upper left corner, then on "add account"

Then on "Log into existing account"

Then on "Switch accounts"

Next, tab on "get help logging in".

On the next view, enter your username or email address and then on "Next"

Then, either select send an email or SMS to receive your recovery email:

You should now have received a recovery email or SMS containing a login link and a password reset link.
